Steller Sea Lion Encounter
Take a walk on the wild side with the Steller Sea Lions!
Experience what it’s like to be a marine mammal trainer as you go behind the scenes to meet amazing Steller sea lions. Guided by an aquarium interpreter, you will begin by learning about how the Steller sea lions at the Vancouver Aquarium are helping researchers piece together why these majestic animals are disappearing. Then, visit to the marine mammal kitchen to prepare a fishy treat before meeting up with a sea lion trainer and heading to the rarely seen, behind-the-scenes sea lion area. There, you will get up close and personal with the animals and experience first hand what it is like working with such charismatic sea lions alongside their trainers. It is a truly amazing experience!
