Walking or Biking to the Aquarium


The Vancouver Aquarium is a 15 –20 minute walk from Downtown. Follow the green signs leading into Stanley Park on the north side of Georgia Street or walk/bike along the Seawall. If you are biking, be sure to lock your bike. Bike racks are available close to our main entrance.

Public Transportation


Translink Bus and Skytrain Routes

For your convenience, the #19 Bus to Stanley Park will bring you within a 5 minute walk to the Vancouver Aquarium.

The most common routes are listed below:

  1. Take the #19 Bus to Stanley Park, it runs along West Pender Street.

  2. Take the Skytrain to Burrard Station and connect to the #19 bus on West Pender at Burrard Street.

  3. Take the Canada Line or the Seabus to Waterfront and connect to the #19 bus on West Pender.

Driving to the Aquarium

Parking

Parking is available adjacent to the Aquarium and throughout Stanley Park. If the adjacent lot is full, there are many options nearby:

  • Near the Information Booth (4 minute walk).
  • Near the Children’s Zoo and the Miniature Train (4 minute walk).
  • In the Central Parking Lot off Pipeline Road (7 minute walk).


There are a few wheelchair accessible parking spaces available at each of these lots above.

Pay parking is in effect in parking lots and on roadways throughout Stanley Park.

Meters accept coins, Visa and Mastercard. Parking tickets must be purchased from designated meters to be valid.

Safety Note: Exercise Caution to avoid tempting thieves. Do not leave valuables on display or in your car. If you leave your pet in your car, please ensure there is adequate supplies of water andair. Animals in distress will be reported to Vancouver Animal Control.
